Abstract

The following practice consists of working on a primary document by applying economic concepts covered in class and receiving facilitative feedback. The goal is for students to revisit their work through a complex task, such as applying and relating concepts learned in class to documents that do not inherently have a pedagogical or "adapted" focus. From two selectable documents, students choose one and must respond to a series of closed or open-ended questions. The submission must be handwritten, photographed, and sent in PDF format through the virtual classroom. Following this initial submission, the teacher provides a qualitative formative correction allowing specific points needing further work to be reformulated. It involves facilitative feedback, focusing on concepts that need more attention, but not providing the answers to the students. Within one week, a second submission is required, addressing only the points that need revision. Once the second submission is corrected, the work will be graded.
