Abstract

Expulsions of High School students (ESO in Spain) from their schools is one of the main causes of school failure in the Community of Madrid. To reverse this situation, a coexistence classroom is presented as a suggestion, like an efficient and uncomplicated alternative to enforce, likeness to others already functioning, like the one in IES Porta Alta in Málaga. A coexistence classroom is indeed intended as a key aspect to set up a safe space of dialogue and tolerance in which the students could think over their attitudes and cope with the diverse situations that could happen in an educational environment.
